FOCUS 9 - TRYOUTS IN BELGIUM

UPDATE - Sept 27, 2006

All 3 athletes are invited to go back next summer (2007) for a full period of pre season preparation (45 days). If by the end of the 45 days they have performed well they will be offered to stay the entire season with the club.

Big thank you to Mr Bruynninkx (responsible for the Top Sport in Belgium ) Mr. Bart Cums ( Youth Academy coordinator for the 2division club OHL) and all the trainers at OHL.

UPDATE - Sept 1, 2006

Good news, the guys are performing very good. They have received an invitation to stay in Brussels with the sport elite combine with study and top division club academy. This week will be very important the Goalie has a try out with a first division team under 19 FC BRUSSELS and for the rest of the week they will train with the top sport in LEUVEN 3 hrs in the morning and 2hrs in the evening with a second division team juvenile academy H.O.L.

We went and watch a training session of first division team Anderlecht + we had the chance to watch a game of -16 and -15 Anderlecht, they understand now when I'm talking about speed of play.... plus 3 other games, one top second division, one top third division and one top 4 division. Wednesday we should go to see the Belgium National team try to qualified for the Euro 2008.

That's the news for the moment.

After several months of intensive training under the supervision of Coach Patrick Di Stefani, we are please to announce that Jean-Claude Campeau, Benjamin Allen and Karl Martens will be traveling with Patrick to Belgium to tryout with different
professional soccer academies from August 23^rd to September 10^th 2006.

Patrick Di Stefani developed many contacts over the years that he played and coached in Belgium’s professional league. The tryouts were made possible through the relationships that Patrick maintains with his contacts in Belgium.

We wish all the best to the players. We will be updating this page with their progress and pictures during the next two weeks.
